The Human Voice as Medicine: Presenting at the S/HE Conference

I’m honored to announce that I will be presenting at the upcoming S/HE Creatrix Studies Online Conference hosted by MAGO Academy.

My presentation, The Human Voice as Medicine: The Power of One’s Primordial Sound, explores the transformative relationship between consciousness, communication, emotional regulation, mythology, and the healing potential of the human voice.

Drawing from decades of Yoga and meditation practice, scholarly research, philosophy, mythology, contemplative traditions, and lived experience, this presentation examines the voice not merely as a tool for communication but as an instrument that can influence thought, emotion, memory, nervous system regulation, and human connection.

The presentation also explores the Vedic understanding of Vāk — sacred speech — and the layered dimensions of sound and consciousness described within ancient traditions.

My research and creative expression explore emotional intelligence, mythology, communication, consciousness, and the subtle relationship between thought and identity. These same themes also flow through my upcoming book, Mythic Alchemy, which explores emotion, story, symbolism, and inner transformation through a mythic lens.

Weaving these threads together within an interdisciplinary space devoted to mythology, scholarship, dialogue, and creativity is a natural evolution of this path and the continuing exploration of our primordial sound.
