The Birth of My Seventh Book: Mythic Alchemy on Ganesha Chaturthi
Months ago, I predicted that Mythic Alchemy wanted to be published on Ganesha Chaturthi.
On September 14, 2026, at 3:53 p.m. ET, I submitted the paperback edition of Mythic Alchemy for publication. 🐘📖
Mythic Alchemy has a long history. What lives within these pages reaches back to curriculum I developed while teaching holistic health in the 1990s—still foundational to the way I teach people to understand energy, the body, and their relationship to their own inner experience.
Seven years ago, I purchased the URL for Mythic Alchemy. I had no idea what would eventually live at that address.
Over the decades, that foundation continued to deepen. Mythology, Navarasa, yoga philosophy, meditation, Ayurveda, embodied practices, storytelling, and scholarship found their places within it. Teachings I have carried across decades met discoveries that could only have entered the book now.
Ganesha has been my guide throughout. Mythic Alchemy grew around Ganesha’s stories as doorways into Navarasa, the nine emotional essences, along with practices for exploring how we experience them in body, mind, and spirit.
Here is a glimpse into the world of the book.
There is something extraordinary to me about sending this particular book into publication on Ganesha Chaturthi, the day honoring the very deity whose stories lead us through its pages.
Earlier that morning, before I knew Mythic Alchemy would cross that threshold only hours later, I recorded a three-minute story for Ganesha Chaturthi about Ganesha, the Moon, and why tradition warns us not to look at the Moon on this particular day.
I predicted months ago that Mythic Alchemy wanted to be published on this date.
This is giving me waves of joy.
There is something especially meaningful about watching teachings that began taking shape decades ago, stories I have lived with and retold, and discoveries that arrived much later finally meet within the covers of one book.
On Ganesha Chaturthi, Mythic Alchemy crossed the threshold from creation to publication.
